Authentic Turkish food - delicious and home made. The restaurant is clean, service is sincere, prices are fair for the quality of food you receive (which is really good!). Their desserts were amazing - especially the baklava and creme caramel! Will be coming back :)
Walking toward the restaurant, through the large picture windows, the ambiance seemed inviting. Once seated, we were not disappointed. Fresh roses on each table, beautiful chandeliers, warm rich colours, large comfortable chairs, sigh! Other patrons was a well balanced mix of middle eastern descent and not. It was very quiet with gentle Arabic music playing in the background. Our red lentil soup arrived, absolutely delicious. Such a nice blend of flavours. Paired with freshly homemade bread, similar to pita. So wonderful. Perfect portion, perfect temperature. Then our second appetizer came, a cold plate with a tasty selection of Turkish and middle eastern cheese, spreads and garnishes. Paired once more with their freshly homemade bread. What a treat. Then our entrées arrived. The strip sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the lamb shank, Kafta and kabobs were all cooked to perfection, and so beautifully seasoned. Our entrée was garnished with crispy potatoes, rice pilaf with a vegetable medley. Our dessert arrived. We chose coconut pudding. Very authentic. Delicious. The Turkish coffee was sublime. An overwhelmingly pleasurable and romantic meal. Oh, and by the way, we used a Groupon, and we had our choice of the menu! Absolutely no difference in service or quality. Highly recommend this Turkish Delight of a restaurant.
We really enjoyed the food. The taste and options for vegetarians and kids were nice.
Service with only one server was a bit slower but can't fault the staff for this. Nice to have this caliber of restaurant option in the West end.
This location is a wonderful setting for an exceptional dining experience. The staff is caring and go out of their way to give you more than just food, the owner/chef is putting his heart into your meal.
Had a wonderful experience. Sophisticated place, great service, fantastic food. Old world charm.
Homemade schnitzel was fantastic, along with some tasty spaetzle. (I got too excited and cut into the schnitzel before taking this pic btw). Great service too.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. We went for a birthday meal with a large group reservation and the service was excellent.
Was our first time there. Nicely decorated and the food is good but quite expensive for what it is. Wait staff should have done a better job of explaining the menu and cuisine to us knowing it was the first time we were there. Belly dancer show was pretty cool though. I wasn't disappointed with our visit but I also wasn't blown away.
